As a regular beach goer, I find myself more often than not, annoyed with the throngs of tourists who claim a patch of sand as their own. Who disregard everything and everyone in their path and destory natures beauty.
With over fifteen years experience beach sitting and exploring I feel I have the right to comment on the things not to do while at the beach.

Speaking with a local Sardinian woman the other day, who happens to follow my blog, she asked me why I wrote an article on Rossella Urru and why it’s important to me.
Free Rossella. Rossella Urru is 29 years old and is a volunteer. She was abducted in Algeria on 22 OCtober 2011.
At the time I couldn’t find the right words to convey my thoughts on this urgent matter. It has taken me over twenty-four hours to get my thoughts straight, and here is my answer:
We are all Rossella Urru’s and Kristen French’s. We are all women who are still struggling to survive in this manly world.
We are all freedom, unless that freedom has been stolen from us.
It’s time to stop this madness, it’s time to bring ALL the children home, safe, back in their mothers arms.
Freedom for Rossella Urru.
Does this picture capture The Rules of Thirds? My focus was the two puff’s of cloud set against the stunning Mediterranean blue sky. How’s my horizon line?
A beautiful Sunday afternoon spent hiking in the mountains of Sardinia, in search of asparagus. I could hear the ding-a-ling of sheep bells, but I couldn’t see the sheep. That faded fast.
In no particular order of importance, as each town, beach and island, is a spectacular assault on the senses. All ten areas will leave you breathless and in awe.
Depending on your view of the world, Sardinia is smack-dab center, in the middle of the world.
Three and a half years ago I went on my first asparagus hunting excursion, it was painful. I came home with squinty eyes and a headache and vowed never to do it again.
The first few years was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I actually detested going out, but that waned with each new dish prepared. Now, I am a pro. Yes, a pro-asparagus hunter and I love each moment.
