This weeks photo challenge was rather, well, a challenge. I scoured my archives for photos of things ‘inside,’ but to no avail.
Then the light when on inside the bat house.
It’s 7:00AM, I’m out of bed and at the beach just as the sun is climbing its way above the mountain tops. The water is calm, too calm, like before a storm. There are hardly any beachgoers at this time of morning, it’s perfect and Marinedda is mine, if only for a moment.

Two months ago a bat entered the house and has taken residence ever since. She swoops, squeaks and flies circles around our heads, nightly.
She came crashing down while we were having a dinner party, much to the amusement of our party guests, I’m sure! My husband quickly picked her up with a tea towel and put her outside.
I thought that was the last, of the crazy bat house.
Isola Rossa or Red Island owes its name to the granite islet that lies in front of the harbour. Isola Rossa is a fisherman’s hamlet and retains its original characteristics despite the ongoing residential developments.
The area provides excellent holiday accommodations for families and for the romantic getaway. There are two main beaches in Isola Rossa: Spiaggetta del Porto and Spiaggia Longo. The fresh clean waters are a magnet for scuba divers, snorkelers and swimmers.
