This sounded like a great challenge until I read the tip from Kristin Luna at Camels & Chocolate, if you haven’t already checked out Kristin’s blog you should. It’s awesome, it’s pretty, it’s spectacular!
Tip: When shooting long exposures, take into account your natural light. We like to shoot an hour before sunset with a tripod, our ISO set at 100 or 200 and our shutter speed anywhere from 2 to 15 seconds, depending on the amount of daylight remaining. If we use a dark ND filter, we put the camera on manual focus, bump up our ISO and use a slower shutter speed to allow more light to come in.
I have no idea about ISO, shutter speed or ND filters so I’m going to think outside the box and post a few photos which make me dream. I hope it’s okay.

Love the photos especially Cuba and your lovely hone! I have no idea how to do ISO or shutter speed since I just use my tiny pocket camera. Great entry!
Thanks Nicole. I also use a little pocket camera, I love it. Don’t think I would ever change it.
I like the top one!
Thanks Robyn! 🙂
All wonderful dreams!
Still like that first one the best!
Love the black and white and the forest faeries, great shots Jennifer. Four legs and a meow, miss him lots.
Grazie!

Only if you have four legs and bark. 😉 Thanks for stopping by.
Laughing!! No I walk up right..woof- great photos
These are all wonderful places for dreaming! Beautiful pictures 🙂
Thank you! I can’t wait to head to the beach tomorrow for more salt water dreams.
Love all the shots. The sun one is stunning in black and white. You have great talent despite not knowing what ISO etc is 🙂
LOL! Thank you very much. I think this month Ill take a crash course in photography to learn more! 🙂
I just got a new camera this weekend and I think I should take a class too 🙂 It is a big step up from my little point and shoot. So many buttons and settings it is complicated to just turn it on 😉
I love my point and shoot, it has so many wonderful features. I think in retirement I’ll get one with bells and whistles. 😉
So …. think we physically crossed paths? I do. 😉
I think maybe since you seemed familar, but couldn’t place it. Maybe we have met… ?
The new camera has lots of features and is a step up from point and shoot, but I still don’t need to know all the lingo and settings 😉 Used it to take pics of the nephews tonight and I love the speed and zoom. Will have to post some pics soon.
All lovely, but that shimmering top image is my favorite!
