A Letter of Thanks to You

In the last few days I have received an enormous amount of support, congratulations and keep it ups, from strangers … all … over … the … world! I am overwhelmed by this outpouring of positive support.

I would like to thank each and every one of you; for your kind words and encouragement, now and though the last two years.

From the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU! GRAZIE!

This blog is an effort to show my writing skills. Skills for which no degree hangs, but this doesn’t stop me from doing what I love … writing. It’s been a silent dream of mine for eons and has only been visible to the outside world since the inception of My Sardinian Life.

I would have never guessed a place so forgotten, and lost in the world, could exist and offer so much joy and beauty.

Sardinia is land to be discovered, on your own time, by your own feet.

I share my daily life on this blog to share with others the ups and downs of an expat in this world. My life is not all umbrellas and sunshine, but it’s life and it’s mine. I created it, I own it.

My expat experiences have changed me, opened my eyes to human struggles around the world. Even if I reach one person with thoughts of inspiration and hope then my job is done. I’m complete.

My blog exists because of you. Your continued support has inspired me to carry on.

My kind and best regards to you all. Blessed be.

Jennifer Avventura

***Things will slow down at My Sardinian Life for the next few months. It’s job season and some fish are biting while the ecomony is falling, I must take the bait.

Fourth Times a Charm | The Versatile Blogger Award

When it rains it’s pours, and this week in Sardinia it’s raining cats and dogs (cliché I know, I don’t care)!

Where did spring go? I hope spring returns with a vengeance, I need hot heat!

I’ve been fortunate to receive The Versatile Blogger Award (for the fourth time) from AllThingsBoys Blog. A big shout out! And thank you!

My Sardinian Life’s All-Time Blog Stats

It’s been awhile since I’ve written about blogging, and it seems only fair to share My Sardinian Life’s All-Time Stats, from the beginning of time.

Why do I think it’s important to share my blog stats with the world?

Because most bloggers are secretly obsessed with their stats, and I think too many bloggers focus on the numbers and not the content they write.

I want to show newbies to the blogging world, that it takes time. Patience is definitely a virtue.

Sardinian Local Experts Award

Sardinian Local Experts Award

Sardinia Local Expert - CharmingItaly Blog Award

A HUGE thank you to the folks over at Charming Italy who have nominated My Sardinian Life for the Local Experts Award in Sardinia.

“The Local Experts Award was established as a way for potential visitors to Italy, Sardinia, Puglia and Sicily to get an understanding of what to expect and ultimately what to look forward when visiting the mediterranean.

It’s a huge honour to be among some of the best bloggers (on Sardinia) in the industry. Grazie mille!

Charming Italy’s enthusiastic effort in creating this award, has led me to a number of new blogs on Sardinia, which I am currently exploring. Here’s two:

Sipping Sardinia – An awesome expat blog from a Polish woman who lives in Nuoro, Sardinia.
Wandering Sardinia – This blog is written in Italian and English. I hope to make that jump one day!

Why don’t you head over to Charming Italy now and see what all the fuss is about.

One million thank you’s!

Tag You’re It

My Sardinian Life has been tagged!

A big thank you to Prettierinpink for the nod in my direction. It`s always appreciated.

On-line blogging games can be time-consuming, annoying, joyous, fun and can increase traffic to your blog.

My job in these last few years months has been blogging. I`ve learned a lot, and for me, one of the most important factors in blogging and or writing is feedback. Most of us write in the virtual world to get seen, heard, liked and respected. We all want that fifteen seconds of fame, right? Even if it`s fleeting.

With pleasure I pass this wonderful childs game on, but a few rules first …

The Reader Appreciation Award

The Reader Appreciation Award

The Reader Appreciation Award

I’m giving an award to those that have made this past year of blogging worthwhile. You have kept me on my toes, left comments, advice and tons of encouragement. For this I am grateful. Thank you.

Here’s the rules:

  1. Award your top 6 bloggers who have commented the most.
  2. Be thankful.
  3. You cannot award someone who has already been awarded. And you cannot give the award back to me.
  4. Don’t forget to tell the bloggers you’ve awarded.
  5. If you don’t want to pass on this award, that’s okay to. Just admire it.

The Reader Appreciation Award goes to:

  1. The Hook @ You’ve Been Hooked – thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
  2. Love versus Goliath – thank you for your help in understanding this crazy world we call blogging. Without your wise words I’d still be lost in this cyber space.
  3. The World According to Woman – thank you for all your advice on CELTA, TESOL and EFL. And thank you for thinking about me while in the drive-thu at Tim Horton’s.
  4. Chronicles of Illusion – thank you for ‘loving my style,’ and sticking with me this past year.
  5. Bagni di Lucca and Beyond – from one expat in Italy to the next, thank you for your continued support on My Sardinian Life.
  6. dribblingpensioner – thank you for your continued sarcasm and support in understanding this WordPress platform.

Thank you all. Happy weekend. Happy blogging.

Jennifer Avventura.
