The Inspiring Blog Award was awarded to My Sardinian Life!
A huge thanks to Aparna at aparnanairphotography for nominating me. I would have never thought that my words or pictures could inspire people, I am deeply humbled.
The Rules:
- Thank the person who nominated you and add their link into your blog post.
- Nominate 7 other inspiring blogs and let them know with a comment on their blog.
- Tell 7 things about yourself … that no one knows!
My Sardinian Life’s 7 Nominee’s for the Inspiring Blog Award:
- thirdeyemom – Nicole never fails to inspire. She’s a super-mom, a woman with a BIG heart who volunteers her time all over the world. I think we can all learn something from her book.
- Suitcases and Sippy Cups – follow this fantastic family of six as they globetrotte around the world and blog about their experiences with four young children. It can be done folks, proof is in the pudding.
- Algarve Blog – This blog is just so awesome. It’s filled with fantastic artwork by none other than the blog owner herself. Wickedly awesome photos and great information on Portugal.
- A Writer in Umbria – I’ve just found this blog and I love it. Nina writes about her reflections in Italy, cats and is even a published author. Snap! So very inspiring for me. I’ll be asking for advice in the near-ish future.
- An Italophile – is a blog on all things Italian written by an ex-expat. Australian born, 6 years living in Italy and now England is where she calls home. This is a super fine blog and I look to Cathy when I need a shoulder to cry on or just a little push in the right direction. Her photos are pretty amazeballs too!
- The Blissful Adventurer – a full-time storyteller with grace and humour. He blogs a lot about his love of Italy and that is what I find most fascinating about his blog. It’s addicting … trust me.
- Travel with Kat – This is a woman who truly inspires me. Her blog is beautiful, her stories are amazing, and her photos are top-notch! As an aspiring travel writer myself, I look up in high regards to Kat.
7 Things you didn’t know about Jennifer Avventura:
- As much as I appreciate these chain-letter type blogging awards, I silently cringe when I see I’ve been nominated. This is a new award for me so I accept it with grace, but there have been many times I’ve been awarded the same blogging award, several times. There I said it.
- I’ve studied: jiu jitsu, jeet kune do (yeah Bruce Lee, you rock!), thai-kickboxing, boxing, karate and yoga.
- I’m 5’11 and wear size 11 shoes … sometimes 12.
- I’m a natural blonde with black eyebrows, weird right?
- I have a unsatiable addiction to all things chocolate.
- My husband is from Sardinia, not Italy. Just ask him.
- The loves of my life are my 3 Little Birds. They make the sunshine, even on rainy days.
Happy Blogging!
Have you received a blogging award lately? What do you think (honestly) about these chain-letter awards?
Thank you so very much for this Jennifer! I am flattered and I look forward to sharing it forward when I get out of the weeds over here at TBA 🙂
It’s well deserved Michael. 🙂
you are very kind
While I love the photography/travel memes someone mentioned I’m not keen on these awards, however, that doesn’t lessen my pleasure in receiving this one and the really lovely comments you made. 😀
Congratulations too! I find your blog very inspiring and always look forward to reading i! 🙂
You are way too kind Jennifer with those flattering words! Thanks so much for the award and I look forward to checking out more blogs to add to my list! 🙂
Congratulations Jennifer! I can relate to No.1. Have more than a dozen I need to acknowledge!
Hey Jennifer! Congratulations on the award. You certainly have inspired me…you got me to do the color contest and a few other things. Thank you so much for nominating my blog. It’s still getting going, but I’m enjoying it more and more. You and I sound a lot alike… I studied jiu jitsu, karate, yoga, and was a professional ballerina for a few years. I’m 5’10” and wear size 10″ shoes, sometimes 11. I’m a natural blonde with brown eyebrows. My husband is from Prague, and the loves of my life are my three kitties. Speaking of which, it’s about time I start my cat series on my blog, no? Thank you again and one of these days we’ll meet in Sardegna. I’ve always wanted to go, and it’s really so close to us. Again, tanti auguri!!
Gee … we really do sound like two peas in a pod. I forgot to mention that I studied lyrical jazz for almost 15 years! HAHA!
We need to get together and have a brown eyed, blonde haired dance off! 😉
Hi Jennifer! Congrats!!! The nice thing about htese awards is the appreciating for your blog, on the other hand I agree that it is a lot of work. I still have one ‘on hold’ as it doesn’t fit in my ‘blogging schedule’ or how you want to call it. And as you said at one point you don’t know who you want to nominate anymore or what you want to tell about yourself that is not too personal and has something to do with your blog as well 😉
However, loved to read that your husband is from Sardinia and not Italy. So funny!! But I do understand it as my father would probably say the same 😀
Thanks for the nomination for an Italophile Jennifer, this came as a wonderful surprise to me this morning 🙂
My pleasure Cathy. You deserve it!
Congrats!!! Way to go Jenn!
Thank you beautiful Woman!
thank you very much! I like the awards – but like you – think ‘oh no’ when I have to think of another 7 things about me – perhaps I’ll just add 7 things about me to my blog then I can refer back to that link each time!??!
But thank you for nominating my blog – I do think it’s a great way of finding new blog writers to enjoy – there are at least 3 others on your list I have never read – so I’m off to make a cup of tea and settle down for 10 mins to enjoy them!
thanks again – and have a great week (it’s going to be 104 degrees today – not going to be doing much work!)
It’s a hot one here too! Have fun discovering the new blogs.
I just did the colour photo contest/award, (because I didn’t have to talk about myself) but usually I don’t take part as I find they can sometimes be a distraction from what my blog is about and I really don’t want to answer questions about myself.
I agree Debra. They are nice, but after so many it’s like homework and doe take away from what my blog is about. I’ve tried to list things ppl don’t know about Sardinia but after time I have nothing else to say.
