The Giants Tomb of Li Lolghi – Tomba dei giganti di li Lolghi.
The tomb of the giants is an enormous Sardinian gallery grave. Built during the bronze age by the Nuraghic civilization, it shows the true strength of the Sardinian people during the megalithic period.
Spring hasn’t really arrived in Sardinia, yet. We were teased in March with cloudless skies and delightfully warm sun but that soon changed when April moved in with her bleak rain filled sky.
Even on cloudy, rainy, windy rather rotten days I still need to get out and breathe the fresh spring-ish air. Join me on a photographic hike through the windy valleys in Northern Sardinia.
It’s a slow start to spring this year in Sardinia. Rather cold and windy too. This time last year we were basking on the beach, this year, I’m wrapped up in two sweaters, a scarf and furry slippers!

The festival of San Simplicio is an annual event held in Olbia, Italy. Attracting thousands of tourists and locals alike. The festival is in honour of the Patron Saint, San Simplicio and is one of the most important religious festivals in Sardinia.

Spectacular performances on horseback are the norm of this tournament. This is defiantly a tournament of speed, agility, strength and courage.

Here is something I wish I could be part of. However, Cagliari is a three-hour drive for me, and I don’t drive. I hope by sharing this message of freedom that more people will be inclined to show up in support for Rossella Urru.
