Travel Theme: Ripples Sardegna

He ripples sweet summer songs above the highest mountain tops.
He sings all day, coming and going with barely a stop. He knows when I’m there and hides away, the moment I’m gone, and he returns with his song.
I’ve waited two weeks with camera in hand, and can finally prove that Ripples Sardegna, in the blink of an eye, has come and gone, yet again.

He returns and ripples his songs to the new summer air. I’ve just about got him … let me see now … I don’t know. Click.

The Flow of YS Falls – Jamaica

Stepping outside of Sardinia for this photo challenge, I find myself at …

YS Falls, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica

This 7 tiered flow of water is nestled within a secluded valley in Jamaica’s ‘breadbasket’ parish – St. Elizabeth.

Flow by Jennifer Avventura 2013

YS Falls is a spectacular sight to behold. Throngs of tourists and locals alike flock to this working cattle and horse ranch each year. There are natural pools for a relaxing swim or for the more adventurous there is zip lining over the falls. We spent a good few hours here, hiking and taking in the gorgeous views.

This is my response to the Weekly Travel Theme: Flow.

Have you been to Jamaica? In the comment section below, tell me about one great experience you had in Jamaica.

Travel Theme: Peaceful

Alligator Pond is small fishing village on the southwestern coast of Jamaica and we spent a few peaceful hours walking the beach.

We will be taking a small detour through Jamaica for the next few posts as I get over my jet lag.

What does peaceful mean to you?

Travel theme: Beaches of North West Sardinia

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted something on My Sardinian Life and when I saw Ailsa’s theme this week I knew I just had to post some of my favourite beaches in North Sardinia.

Have you been anyone of these stunning beaches in Sardinia?

Travel Theme: Roads

This week’s travel theme by Ailsa at Where’s my backpack is roads. Sardinian roads are curvy, fast, mountainous and covered with little surprises.

My favourite road in Sardinia with a Nuraghe.

Travel Theme: Walls

Gallery

This gallery contains 4 photos.

I’ve saved a few of these wonderful wall photos for a few years and am excited that I can finally display them. In Sardinia there are walls everywhere you look: shepherds walls, ancient farm plot walls and interesting rock wall … Continue reading

Travel Theme: Multiples

This is an un-edited photo for the weekly photo challenge by Ailsa over at Where’s my backpack.

Sardinia is a stunning island in the Mediterranean but at times, her blue sky is filled with chemtrails or contrails. I lean towards chemtrails as these do not dissipate in time, instead they grow wider and wider eventually changing a beautiful blue sky cloudy. It’s such a shame.

What’s your take on this conspiracy? Are they chemical trails or contrails?

While you’re at it – I’m the author of a new blog; my life as taken me oversea’s to a new exotic location! Please follow me over at My Caymanian Life and see what all the fuss is in the Caribbean.

Travel Theme: Hot

Another great theme from Ailsa from Where’s my backpack? The theme this week is hot and I wish it were hot in Sardinia now. Instead of warm summer temperatures we’ve dipped below 10c! That’s shivering cold for us. I’m bundled up tight in my Canadian sweatshirt and wooly socks and dreaming of higher temps.
