1. Isola Rossa or Red Island owes its name to the granite islet that lies in front of the harbour. Isola Rossa is a fisherman’s hamlet and retains its original characteristics despite the ongoing residential developments. The area provides excellent holiday accommodations for families and for the romantic getaway. There are two main beaches in Isola Rossa: Spiaggetta del Porto and Spiaggia Longo. The fresh clean waters are a magnet for scuba divers, snorkelers and swimmers. Here you will find unspoilt shorelines and a watch tower that was built in the 1500’s.

2. Li Feruli is a long stretch of stunning coastline with superb views of The Gulf of Asinara and Castlesardo. The shoreline at Li Feruli slopes gently into the warm crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. Li Feruli is a twenty-minute walk along the rugged Sardinian coastline from Isola Rossa or by car it’s 2.5km. Driving down a narrow paved road, signs pointing in the direction of Li Feruli; parking is limited and it’s now you must walk down a steep cliff, the sand as your path with juniper trees and cork trees set against the blue Mediterranean.

3. La Marinedda is a stone’s throw from Isola Rossa and is a surfers paradise. Every August La Marinedda hosts the Frozen Open Surf Contest attracting surfers and spectators from around the globe. The beach is enclosed on the west by large red granite cliffs named Punta Canneddi. The landscape is true Mediterranean as the vivid greens of the juniper trees contrast the imposing red granite making La Marineddaa a spectacular beach to visit.

4. Costa Paradiso is a 13km drive from Isola Rossa. ‘Paradise Coast’ is an extraordinary landscape of pink granite rocks, lush Mediterranean bush and countless inlets, beaches, natural pools and creeks. The colours are a spectrum of wonder, ranging from lush green mountains to the blue turquoise waters. Costa Paradiso is a charming town full of life and colour. There are many beaches to choose from in Costa Paradiso the options are endless.

5. Tinnari is a fifteen minute drive from Isola Rossa and access to this stunning beach is by boat or foot. The 214m walk down is flanked with cork trees and offers a beautiful panorama of The Asinara Islands and Corisca. The walk down is not for the faint of heart. It’s a rugged, often unstable path which winds its way slowly down the 214m mountain. Tinnari is compromised of two small half-moon bays and the beach is formed from small fragments of sea shells, granite rocks and round coloured pebbles which have ebbed and flowed for eons. The large and imposing granite peeks cast an afternoon shadow for those without protection. Tinnari is a spectacular beach to visit, it’s not often you will find yourself in what nature calls a masterpiece.

The entire coastline of Sardinia is caressed by bright clear skies and turquoise waters. Typically three hundred days of sunshine rains down onto Sardinia’s stunning granite face.
