The travel theme this week is short, and it finally gives me the opportunity to show off these cute, little dolls wearing traditional costume’s from the heart of Sardinia.
And here’s a short door so the cat can get through.
I found this adorable, paper kitten mewing at the bottom of the door to an old bakery in Tonara, Sardinia and thought it was super cute that someone took the time to tape his little face into the hole, so I just had to take its picture.
This is my response to the weekly Travel Theme.
The dolls are really gorgeous, and that cat door is so cute. 🙂
I’ve started a new blog, and I’m no longer in my hammock. 😦

They would also fit Bastet’s pixelventures photo challenge of days gone by 🙂

I totally understand …. I really wanted to go back to Montreal for the holidays so I could play in the snow but I can’t … hopefully, we’ll have some here 🙂
I was hoping to go to Tiana this Sunday… I was there a few years ago and drank from the fountain of youth 😉
I think we drove through there on our way to Tonara. It was really cute, I’d like to go back and explore. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Fonni!!
Good idea especially if you’ve never been … Few years back I really enjoyed my visit to Fonni until one of the masked men started chasing me … (but I was told it was good luck so I let him tag me).
Oh, it is good luck! Lucky you, :). I hope it snows in Fonni for the cortas apertas, I haven’t seen snow in two years and am feeling nostalgic.
love the kitten pic 🙂 have you been to Cortes Apertas yet?
Yes, this was at the Cortes Apertas in Tonara. I’ve also gone to the one on Mamoiada.

Lovely kitten! I think I would have knocked on the door or left a little note on its loveliness…
The door was open. I was at an open house of sorts in the center of Sardinia. This was an old bakery. 🙂 Maybe the kitten was keeping guard on the sweets.
What a cute little door!
Thank you! 🙂
Absolutely adorable, brightens everyone’s day! Great photo! Love it and what a cute way to cove a hole!

The paper kitten gets my vote! 🙂
Love the paper kitten! 🙂
He is a cutie. I wanted to take him home but my husband doesn’t like cats. 🙂
OMG, first I thought this was a cat door. But then I realized – too small! Aww…
I wonder what the hole was used for? A rat hole? I can’t imagine ventilation as it’s bloody freezing in the winter at Tonara. Hmmm….
Why would you want to make it easier for the rats? 🙂
(PS – surprised no comment on my language at the doctor’s story 😦 )
Done.
🙂
How cute, Jennifer. I like that little paper kitten too! 🙂
